digital residual field meter is

portable instrument which measures the residual

magnetisum in demagnetised iorn and steel

objects. The unit can be operated on 9V battery

as well as on external 9V DC regulated source. It

is internally calibrated and it measures fields from

0.1 gauss to 200 gauss full scale.

The Hall Probe

The Hall probe is made up of a highly pure

Gallium Arsanide crystal. It is mounted on a

non-magnetic substrate of 50mm(l) x 5mm(b) x

1mm(t) and is located at the front edge.

It is encased in a pen type aluminum holder.

Do not use the probe for temperature above

60 0 C. When not in use, the probe is to be

capped.
